Keep Walking.....

Jus to check this out......
The Organs of your body have their sensory touches at the bottom of your foot, if you massage these points you will find relief from aches and pains as you can see the heart is on the left foot.

Typically they are shown as points and arrows to show which organ it connects to.

It is indeed correct since the nerves connected to these organs terminate here. This is covered in great details in Acupressure studies or textbooks.

God created our body so well that he thought of even this. He made us walk so that we will always be pressing these pressure points and thus keeping these organs activated at all times.

So, keep walking.....

Ban: Stop smoking in cars to save children's health say doctors

Smoking should be banned in all cars to save children from the health dangers caused by passive inhalation, says a report from the Royal College of Physicians.

Doctors are calling for urgent action after figures revealed passive smoking triggers 22,000 cases of asthma and wheezing in children every year.

Around 9,500 hospital admissions among children are linked to the effects of secondhand smoke inside and outside the family home, says the report, which analysed existing research.

Forty babies die from sudden infant death syndrome every year caused by passive smoking - one in five of all such deaths.

At least two million children are exposed to secondhand smoke in the home along with 'avoidable' health risks, says the report.

Professor John Britton, chairman of the Royal College's tobacco advisory group, said legislation to ban smoking in the home would be unenforceable.

But society's views about the ' acceptability' of smoking must be changed and the easiest way to do this is a blanket ban in cars and vans, he said.

This would be simpler to police than the current situation which expects enforcement officers to differentiate between business vehicles, where smoking is banned, and those owned privately.

Professor Britton said: 'We would recommend a ban on smoking in all vehicles.'

In addition the ban on smoking in enclosed spaces should be extended to parks, playgrounds and other areas where children congregate, he went on.

Richard Ashcroft, a professor of bioethics at Queen Mary, University of London - who contributed to the report - said even parked drivers who never have child passengers should get out of their cars before lighting up.

This would not be a 'significant reduction' in their liberties, he argued.

However, Simon Clark, director of the smokers' lobby group Forest, said: 'We wouldn't encourage people to smoke around children but adults should be allowed to use their common sense.

'These proposals go way beyond what is acceptable in a free society.'

Professor Terence Stephenson, president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, said it had already demanded a ban on smoking in cars with children travelling in them.

A Department of Health spokesman said: 'By increasing the level of awareness of the harmfulness of secondhand smoke, we will encourage people to voluntarily make their homes and cars smoke free.'- www.dailymail.co.uk

2. Anak anda hilang di tempat awam.
Tindakan awal anda mungkin mencarinya sendiri. SALAH!

Terima kasih.

How to: Save a heart attack victim

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2009/07/28/article-0-05B30519000005DC-553_233x423.jpg

The heart: Chest compressions can save a life by keeping the blood flowing
You're about to catch a train when a fellow passenger starts to complain of chest pain. You are worried he's having a heart attack.

You call an ambulance, but next thing you know the man has collapsed - and he looks dead.

The only thing that will save him is an electric shock to his heart - and until help arrives, you need to keep the blood going to his brain and heart by doing the work of the heart for him using CPR.

Panic sets in - you did a first-aid course at school, but you can't remember exactly what to do. And could you catch something when doing the 'kiss of life'?

In fact, the advice on what you should do if you see an adult, not a child, suddenly collapse has changed. Yes, first call an ambulance.

But if you are not trained properly in CPR there's no need to worry about the kiss of life or the bit about breathing into the patient's mouth. All you need to do is the chest compressions.

• Put your hands in the middle of the chest on the breastbone and push down as hard as you can, 100 times a minute (roughly the same rhythm as the 'ah, ah, ah' bit in the Bee Gees song Staying Alive; I'd sing it in your head, though).

• Don't worry about doing some damage: it is better to be alive with a cracked rib than dead with ribs intact. And that is all you need to carry on doing until the ambulance arrives. If you are in a public area, there may be an automated defibrillator. It's easy to use. Someone should get it and put it on the patient's chest and do what it tells you (yes, it will speak).

What next? Even during CPR, the brain is not supplied with as much oxygen as from a fully functioning heart. This lack of oxygen causes the release of substances which damage the brain cells.

We used to think there was nothing much that could be done about it, and three in four patients brought to hospital alive following a cardiac arrest died soon afterwards or ended up with brain damage. However, following two recent trials, the current approach is to cool the brain down for 24 hours.

This helps to stop the damage by preventing the release of these products, helping more and more patients survive cardiac arrest with a fully functioning brain.

Eight years ago, when I started as a doctor, it used to be a miracle if someone survived a cardiac arrest if they weren't in hospital. But now - using basic things; hands, electricity and ice - the miracles are becoming more common. Just remember: hands, not lips!

World No Tobacco Day, 31 May 2009 - No Tobacco please

Workers from a non-government organisation hold a giant replica of a cigarette on the occasion of 'World No Tobacco Day' during an awareness campaign in the southern Indian city of Chennai May 31, 2009. Sunday marks World No Tobacco Day. REUTERS

The theme of World No Tobacco Day 2009 is "Tobacco Health Warnings", with an emphasis on the picture warnings that have been shown to be particularly effective at making people aware of the health risks of tobacco use and convincing them to quit. More and more countries are fighting back against the epidemic of tobacco by requiring that packages of tobacco show the dangers of the product's use, as called for in guidelines to the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control.
